Bluebird Studios is currently dedicated to supporting the Michigan ecosystem for entrepreneurship in any way we reasonably can.

Below are some of the upcoming events Bluebird Studios will host, to encourage long-term
ecosystem development so the state is better prepared to host the world’s next generation of talent.

  • Title: The Bluebird Studios and Ann Arbor SPARK Michigan Games Entrepreneurship Race 2026
    Expected Date: April 19, 2026 - May 9, 2026, yet still TBD
    Brief Description: A 3-week long low stakes development competition.
    Up to 20 teams each comprised of 5 people
    (1 Artist, 1 Audio Engineer, 1 Programming Engineer, 1 Game Designer, and 1 Business Lead)
    will each get $300 and build a game.
    There will be additional prize money for winners, including cash, long-term mentorship, and more.
    The event will be mostly remote, with various virtual and in-person workshops, to develop real-world skills beyond the classroom.

  • Title: Bluebird Studios Next Step Cafe (Mini Event Series)
    Expected Date: TBD for the next one.
    Brief Description: Relaxing mornings to take some time to think about long-term goals, hosted by the Bluebird Studios team.
